Welcome to Armagh!

Thursday, July 16

After landing in Dublin airport we all boarded the bus that would take us to the hostel in Armagh, Northern Ireland. Almost everyone fell asleep once we were on our way, but I stayed awake to take pictures! This picture on the left was when we crossed the bridge over the River Boyne (as in the Battle of the Boyne). The bridge looked very modern and very out of place!
I still don't know where Ireland ended and Northern Ireland began, all of a sudden I just started seeing signs referring to North Irish cities.

I saw two of these cute wagons in the same town (I don't know the name of the town) and they were so
cute!

This pub had the first Guinness ad I saw!

And of course, I loved seeing the horses!!

After we got to the hostel we were on the go for the rest of the night! We checked in and then had to report to the lobby so we could leave for a small walking tour. We got back and had about an hour to ourselves before Orientation. At the end of that we were organized into our teams, I'm paired with Megan, Brigid, and Russ. Our mentor, Cindy, is really nice, and acting as our group mom! Today our little "family" took a cab to Navan Fort, which was just a bit too far away to walk, and explored the hill and checked out the visitor center. I'll post more about that later; tomorrow we're all going to Belfast tomorrow!
